Exported GPX timestamp format

Postby pyed_p1per » 2017-03-24 20:40

I've been exporting some record tracks as GPX from map plus. I noticed that google earth isn't showing the entire track, missing anything after 1pm.

It looks like the timestamps for each point are formatted as "2017-03-11T1:02:45 pmZ" whereas I believe it should be "2017-03-11T13:02:45Z" (ISO 8601)

Are you sure the GPX is directly exporting from Map Plus without any editing, or opened by any other software ever.

In our design and test, the timestamp should be in the standard way, "2017-03-25T00:59:59Z" for example.

Please try to export them again, or share us with a sample?

You can also try the KML file to export to, with the "Track With Timestamp" switch turning on, the timestamp could be read by Google Earth same as GPX.

It's so strange, because the formatting logic is very simple with only 7 lines of source code, and we are sure it is using the format of "yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss'Z'". We have no way and idea for finding out what is wrong. Is your app version is v2.5?

The new version of v2.6 is coming in 1-2 weeks, you can have another try with the new version, or would you please share the gpx to our developer team via support@duweis.com, if you never mind about the data privacy.

Really so sorry for that.
